Base Camp for New Dads (aka Boot Camp for New Dads)

Base Camp for New Dads (also known as Boot Camp for New Dads) is a workshop led by dads, for dads. New dads learn how to become confidently engaged with their infants, support their partner and personally navigate their transformation into dads. In this class you will be oriented to the unique aspects of fatherhood by the experts…new dads and their babies. Topics include becoming a dad, forming a family, caring for new moms, work/family balance, what to expect postpartum, the role of the protector, troubleshooting crying babies, burping, changing, swaddling and deal with a broad set of issues including bonding, work hours, forming a parenting team, safety, preventing child abuse, communication with relatives and more.
