Incredible Care Close to Home
At AdventHealth Littleton, we’re devoted to providing the best care and world-class resources to our Littleton, Colorado, community.
It’s why we’re the area’s destination hospital for emergency and trauma services — with a Level II trauma center and Level III neonatal intensive care unit — and why we hold a Magnet® designation for excellence in nursing services.
We do it all for you, our patients. When you visit our Littleton hospital, you can expect expert providers, advanced technology and whole-person care. All close to home.
Our hospital has decided not to participate in the Colorado End-of-Life Options Act, but we still provide compassionate end-of-life and palliative care to patients and families.

- What to Bring
-
If you plan a stay at our Littleton hospital, we want it to feel as homey as possible. That might mean bringing some personal items. We suggest you only bring the essentials and leave valuables at home, including jewelry and most cash.
Consider packing:
- Dentures with the case and cleaning solution
- Glasses, contact lenses, solutions and cases
- Non-slip slippers and a robe
- Personal hygiene items you prefer, such as shampoo or toothpaste
- Phone numbers of family and friends
- Small items that bring you comfort, such as photos or a book
It’s also helpful to bring items like these with you:
- A credit card or check for any insurance co-payment
- A list of your medications, with the dose and how often you take them
- Photo identification
- Prior test results, X-rays or medical records if your doctor requests them
- Workers’ compensation information, if applicable
- Your advance directives, such as a living will or durable medical power of attorney
- Your health insurance card(s)
- During Your Stay
-
While you’re with us, you’ll meet with different people from your care team. A doctor or another designated care team member will visit you at least once daily. Your nurses will also discuss your care plan with you and your loved ones (if preferred) multiple times throughout the day. As the patient, you’re the focus. So, we encourage you to participate in the care process.
You’ll likely see specialists from different departments, such as your doctor, primary nurse, discharge planner, pharmacist or physical therapist.
Hospitalists, doctors who specialize in caring for hospitalized patients, are consistently available. They are familiar with the hospital environment and how to provide you with the best care. The hospitalist will work with your primary doctor and other care team members.
- Spiritual Care
-
We know that a hospital stay may be unexpected and can bring up feelings of anxiety. So, while you’re at our AdventHealth Littleton hospital, you can expect a team devoted to your comfort and whole-person health — body, mind and spirit. That means access to a spiritual care team, with chaplains available to you and your loved ones at any time to provide extra support. You can also use our chapel and prayer garden to find peace and serenity.
- When It’s Time to Go Home
-
When you’re ready to be discharged, we have case managers and social workers to help you transition smoothly. They’ll create the safest and most appropriate discharge plan for you and provide support.
You’ll need someone to pick you up when it’s time to leave. You’ll also need to follow up with your primary care provider and send them your medication list.
Patient Billing Information and Tools
Whether you’re looking for billing information from a visit to our emergency room or planning a breast care or radiology appointment, we’ve ensured the tools you need are just a click away.
A hospital stay can bring visits and services from multiple medical providers. And while we know it’s hard to plan for an emergency visit, if you have a scheduled health care service that requires a hospital stay, we recommend contacting your practitioners within the hospital to confirm they’re part of your insurance plan. You can also get information about billing practices and an estimate for your upcoming services. This will help you avoid any unexpected fees.
