Karleena's visit with April was for diabetes management and to get an insulin pump. However, during the exam, April mentioned Cushing's disease, a condition Karleena had never heard of. After running several tests, Karleena was diagnosed with Cushing's disease, which explained her difficulties in managing diabetes.

Karleena started medication for Cushing's disease and saw improvements in her blood sugar levels. Her blood sugar, which normally was in the 240s, came down to around 157.
