— Making health care decisions for yourself or a loved one can be challenging and overwhelming. That's why AdventHealth Manchester and Bluegrass Care Navigators are partnering to host a Coffee & Conversations event on Tuesday, April 16th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the hospital lobby. This event is in honor of National Health Care Decision Day, a nationwide initiative to encourage people to express their wishes regarding health care and end-of-life care.
At this event, attendees will learn from health care experts about essential topics related to making informed and compassionate decisions for themselves or their loved ones. Topics include the importance of having "the conversation" with family members; key, non-medical matters to consider, such as legal and financial issues; and what documents and resources are available to help plan ahead. Attendees will also receive a complimentary cup of coffee and a free advance directive form.
"We want to empower our community to make the best decisions possible for their health and well-being," said Dr. Anita Cornett, Chief Medical Officer of AdventHealth Manchester. "This event is a great way to start the conversation and get the information and guidance you need."
The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. For more information, please contact Jay Creech at Call606-598-1098.
