AdventHealth Manchester Celebrates Academic Excellence with Scholarship Awards

AdventHealth Manchester celebrated the academic achievements and commitment to community service of the Live Life Scholars and Bert T. Combs scholars at Clay County High School as it hosted the scholarship presentation ceremony on May 17.

Sissel Jacob, CEO of AdventHealth Manchester, expressed admiration for the students' dedication: "These scholarships are not just financial aids; they are investments in the bright futures of our students. AdventHealth Manchester’s Bert T. Combs Memorial Scholarship Committee awarded a $1,000 scholarship to students who have shown a commitment to both academic excellence and the betterment of their community through volunteerism and community service. This scholarship, named in honor of the former Kentucky governor and Clay County native, Bert T. Combs, serves as a legacy to his distinguished career in public service and his unwavering commitment to the communities of Clay County.

The 2024 Bert T. Combs Scholarship recipients are Avery Janutolo, Jaxon Hooker, Kylee Roberts, Katie Collett, and Hallie Hooker.

AdventHealth's Live Life Scholarship was awarded to students entering the medical field, reflecting the organization's commitment to investing in future healthcare professionals. The scholarship emphasizes the CREATION Life principles—Choice, Rest, Environment, Activity, Trust, Interpersonal Relationships, Outlook, and Nutrition—and supports students in their pursuit of a healthy lifestyle and career in healthcare.

The 2024 Live Life Scholarship recipients are Jaxon Hooker, Hallie Hooker, Faith Rominger, Kylee Roberts, and Kyle Burchfield.
