AdventHealth Manchester Foundation Makes a Generous Donation to the Clay County Backpack Program

In a heartwarming display of community support, the AdventHealth Manchester Foundation has invested in local students through the Clay County Backpack Program with a generous donation of $11,867.55. This contribution is set to provide vital weekend food supplies to children within the community, ensuring they have access to the nutrition they need when school meals are not available.

The Clay County Backpack Program, a crucial initiative in partnership with the Clay County School System, has been instrumental in identifying and assisting children who face the challenge of food insecurity. The program's effectiveness is greatly enhanced by the collaborative efforts of various community stakeholders, including representatives from the Youth Services Centers and board members of the AdventHealth Manchester Foundation.

In light of this significant donation, Sissel Jacob, President and CEO of AdventHealth Manchester, shared her thoughts: "We are deeply committed to supporting the health and well-being of our community, especially the youngest among us. This donation to the Clay County Backpack Program is just one of the ways we live out our mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ. We believe that no child should ever have to face hunger, and we are proud to partner with the Clay County School System to ensure that our children have the food they need to succeed."

Catilyn Gregory, Clay County School FRYSC representative, expressed her team’s deep gratitude towards the AdventHealth Foundation, stating, "Their donation will make a significant impact on the lives of many children and their families in Clay County, helping to alleviate hunger and promote academic success."

The donation ceremony was attended by Youth Services Centers representatives and AdventHealth Board Members. The accompanying photo captures the unity and commitment of these groups towards the welfare of Clay County's children.

The AdventHealth Manchester Foundation and the Clay County School System's partnership exemplifies the power of community collaboration in addressing and fulfilling critical needs. This alliance not only supports the immediate nutritional requirements of the children but also fosters a nurturing environment conducive to their overall growth and development.

In addition to supporting the Backpack Program, AdventHealth Manchester Foundation is actively seeking community-focused individuals to join our foundation board.
