AdventHealth Participates in PRTC Customer Appreciation Day

AdventHealth Manchester, a faith-based health care organization, participated in the Peoples Rural Telephone Cooperative (PRTC) customer appreciation day on Wednesday, September 20th. The event was held at the PRTC headquarters in McKee, Kentucky, and attracted hundreds of residents from Jackson County and surrounding areas.

PRTC is a locally owned and operated cooperative that provides high-speed fiber internet, phone, and television services to rural communities in Kentucky. According to PRTC, Jackson County has the fastest fibernet in the country, with speeds up to 1 gigabit per second.

During the customer appreciation day, AdventHealth offered 30 free health screenings that included cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), and education on appropriate cancer screenings per age. The screenings were conducted by AdventHealth team members, who also provided tips and resources on how to improve one's health and wellness.

"We love our communities and the chance to extend the healing ministry of Christ," said Randy Craft, the community outreach coordinator at AdventHealth. "We are grateful to our partner PRTC for the opportunity to participate in this event and to serve the people of Jackson County with quality and compassionate care."
