— AdventHealth Manchester, a leading health care provider in Clay County, participated in Southeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center’s Mega Body event at Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) Manchester on Friday, September 29, 2023. The event featured a 50-foot inflatable replica of the human body that students from across the region walked through to learn about the different organs and systems. The exhibit also included interactive stations, educational materials, and health screenings.
The Mega Body event is part of AdventHealth's mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ and to promote health and wellness in the community. The event was open to the public and free of charge. It took place from 9 am to 12 pm at the EKU Manchester campus, located at 50 University Drive, Manchester, KY 40962.
"We were excited to partner with Southeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center to bring this unique and fun learning opportunity to our community," said Sissel Jacob, President and CEO of AdventHealth Manchester. "The Mega Body exhibit is a great way to spark curiosity and interest in the human body and to inspire people to take care of their health."
Participating in the event were AdventHealth team members, Heather Bailey, Regina Robinson, Mary Ann Roberts, Sally Siler, Tiffany Bell, Alec Sachleben, and Jamie Feltner.
The Mega Body event was suitable for all ages and attracted over 400 participants from across the region, including students, teachers, and health professionals. For more information, please visit Walk-through Inflatable Body Exhibit | The MEGA Body (medicalinflatables.com)
