Building Hope: AdventHealth Manchester's Mission of Service
— AdventHealth Manchester's Global Mission Initiative (GMI) has had an inspiring start to the third quarter, marked by the collective efforts of teams from North Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama. Their dedication resulted in the completion of five 'healthy homes,' where they built ramps, handrails, porches, and installed grab bars to help improve the lives of the residents.
Their mission extended beyond construction as they ministered to the families' needs through prayer, providing groceries, and offering companionship. The teams' heartfelt service exemplified AdventHealth’s core mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ.
The generosity continued with the distribution of essential supplies from World Vision to four families affected by various adversities, including house fires and natural disasters. These efforts were bolstered by the partnerships with Redbird and Big Creek Missions, who successfully completed nine home construction projects in July, funded by HUD grant dollars.
The GMI at AdventHealth Manchester is a great example of what can be achieved when our communities work together for a greater cause.
