Our Experience with AdventHealth Manchester

November 14, 2024 — Recently, I, Don Summrell, had an unexpected visit to AdventHealth Manchester due to an emergency hernia surgery. From the moment my wife and I arrived at the Emergency Department, we were met with exceptional care and professionalism. Despite the late hour, Dr. Wei performed the surgery around midnight, and we were very pleased with his expertise and dedication.

Our stay in the ICU was made comfortable by the incredible nursing staff, including Kaitlin, Ashley, and Tish, who went above and beyond to ensure my well-being. Their attentiveness and compassion were truly remarkable.

Kyle Smith, RN, ICU manager, was frequently mentioned by my family for his positive demeanor and supportive nature. They noted that he was always happy, making the nurses laugh, and was very supportive. Kyle was also praised for his willingness to answer any questions we had, contributing significantly to our positive experience at the hospital. His leadership and dedication were evident in the exceptional care provided by the ICU staff.

We had heard from friends and family in the community that the hospital had made huge strides, and our experience completely confirmed that and more. The care we received was second to none, and we are grateful for the positive changes and improvements at AdventHealth Manchester.

We also appreciated the support from the chaplains and the overall positive environment created by the team members. This experience has given us peace of mind knowing we have a reliable healthcare facility in our community.
