Our clinical psychologist at AdventHealth Manchester offers psychological assessments and different types of therapy for a wide range of mental health conditions at all stages of life. We’re here to help you:
- Better understand yourself and your symptoms
- Connect with substance abuse treatment, if needed
- Feel supported

- Learn new skills
- Receive a mental health diagnosis, if necessary
- Talk through challenges in a confidential setting
- The Psychological Assessment Process
-
Psychological assessments help us better understand your mental health as a whole, so we can offer you the best care for your needs. Psychological evaluations can help us identify the spectrum of mental health conditions, including symptoms of:
- ADHD
- Autism spectrum disorder
- Intellectual disabilities
- Learning disorders (including dyslexia)
For psychological assessments, you can expect:
- A one-hour interview to understand your concerns and history
- A three- to four-hour testing session in one to two weeks (these are individualized to include assessments to address your particular concerns)
- A one-hour feedback session in one to two weeks to discuss results and recommendations
These assessments give us a better idea of your thoughts, feelings, behavior patterns, strengths, and areas in which you may be struggling. This information helps inform a mental health diagnosis and guides us as we make recommendations, including therapy options, to best help you reach your goals.
