Turkey Trot

AdventHealth invites the Rome community to kick off Thanksgiving with the Rome Turkey Trot and Feel Whole Stroll on November 28, 2024, on the AdventHealth Redmond ECO Greenway. The festivities start at 9:00 AM, featuring a 5K race on a USATF-certified course on the new MT. Berry Trail connection, ideal for serious runners aiming to qualify for the 2025 AJC Peachtree Road Race. Race day registration will open at 7:30 a.m. The event promotes health, wellness and community spirit while benefiting Northwest Georgia Hunger Ministries Inc.

The Turkey Trot offers awards for top finishers across various age categories, as well as a festive atmosphere with music, refreshments and a fun costume contest for all ages. Families and casual walkers can participate in the "Feel Whole 3K Stroll" for a relaxed, non-competitive experience. Strollers and leashed dogs are also welcome.
