Uncommonly Compassionate, Visually Advanced
Imaging can give us a better picture of your whole health. With the right scans and images, we can learn a lot about your symptoms, any health conditions and how your body's functioning. We use this information to guide your care strategy, ensuring you get the best possible care for your needs.
The Big Picture: Excellent Care for You
-
Board-Certified Radiologists
Mastery of care makes all the difference. That’s why our radiologists are not only ready to treat you, based on years of refining their clinical care, but also because they advanced their schooling with board certification, distinction given to those who have completed training beyond medical school.
-
Personal Care Plan
Results from your imaging testing tell us about your needs and which kinds of medical specialists should care for you. You may require care from a cardiologist or perhaps a specialist in oncology. We’ll use the imaging to help you create a plan uniquely yours.
-
Whole-Person Care
Imaging results only tell a portion of your health story. That’s why we take a whole-person approach to care, where we heal your body, tend to your mind, and help you deepen your spiritual connection. It’s simple. You’re better when you’re whole.
Imaging Procedures That Tell Your Story
- Bone Densitometry (DEXA) Scans
-
If you suspect weakening bones, your physician may recommend you undergo a bone densitometry, or DEXA, scan, which uses low-dose radiation from X-rays to gather advanced imaging of your bones.
- Computerized Tomography (CT) Scan
-
A CT scan uses data collected from X-rays to help us understand your body’s inner workings. In this procedure, you’ll be asked to lie down on a moving exam table that will be guided by your technician into a cylinder-shaped imaging machine that will rotate and use radiation from X-rays to scan your body.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Scans
-
An MRI scan uses radio waves to gather images of the inside of your body. For an MRI, your technician will have you lie comfortably on a moving exam table that will be guided into a moving imaging scanner designed to read your body.
Our 3T MRI is the first of its kind in the region, producing images with impeccable clarity. Every aspect of our 3T MRI suite was designed to reduce anxiety including wider opening and enhanced patient experience through lighting, sound, and video.
- X-rays
-
X-rays are a common form of imaging that use signals from electromagnetic radiation to enter your body and collect images that are translated to a nearby monitor. X-rays can help us understand many parts of the body so that we can identify exactly what kind of care would be best for you.
- Ultrasounds
-
In an ultrasound, your technician will guide a wand-like device called a transducer over your body, targeting your area of concern. The transducer releases sound waves into your body, which echo and are collected by the transducer and then sent to a nearby monitor for analysis. Because of its handheld nature, a transducer can examine any part of your body.
- Women’s Imaging
-
We’re identifying breast cancer earlier than ever with exams like:
- 3D mammography, which uses advanced, 3D technology to capture clear images, or “slices”, of the inside of your breast
- The Mammotome Breast Biopsy System, a minimally invasive procedure which allows your physician to make a tiny incision in your breast and collect multiple tissue samples
Images in Motion
In some instances, we may need to know more than what the inside of your body looks like. Sometimes we need to see how it functions. To understand your body's processing and circulation, we use nuclear imaging to see tissue and organs like your heart.
Nuclear imaging combines imaging analysis equipment with a liquid dye called contrast (or radiotracer) that you consume before your exam. The contrast is radioactive, which is how our scanners can see it when it travels through your body. Administered via an injection or by swallowing, contrast dye is a safe and effective way for us to diagnose health issues to ensure you get the best possible care.
