Visiting Hours
AdventHealth has a responsibility to protect the greater community from the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). As a trusted community partner, it’s vital we take measures to minimize the risk of infection for our patients while protecting our physicians and team members who are on the frontlines every day.
As we monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) in our communities, we have decided to make changes to our visitation policies to ensure the safety of our patients, visitors and team members.
We encourage visitors to FaceTime, Skype or call their loved ones who may be in our care.

That’s why members of the Spiritual Care team are available to you and your loved ones during your time in the hospital, providing you with spiritual care and support.

Chaplain's office: Call813-615-1815 - Patient Transfers
-
Your local AdventHealth facility can likely offer the care you need in most cases. Sometimes, though, there may be situations where it’s more appropriate to transfer you or your loved one to our larger medical center, AdventHealth Tampa. This ensures you receive the right level of care, right when you need it.
While every patient is unique, some of the most common conditions that require a transfer to another hospital include:
- Cardiovascular surgery, including after a heart attack
- Gastrointestinal surgery
- Neonatal intensive care
- Neurological conditions, including stroke
- Obstetrics, including for high-risk pregnancies
- Oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMF)
- Orthopedic surgery
- Otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat) surgery
- Pediatric intensive care
The transfer is orchestrated by trained medical professionals who understand your condition, and your medical records will transfer with you so that our AdventHealth Tampa team is ready to care for you when you arrive.
Making Details Easier More Support, Less Stress
We can help with everything from estimating prices to paying bills. Click on a service to learn more about our commitment to making your stay with us as stress-free as possible.
A hospital stay can bring many visits and services from multiple medical providers. We know it’s hard to plan ahead for an emergency hospital visit, but if you have a scheduled health care service that requires a hospital stay, we recommend contacting your anticipated health care practitioners within the hospital to confirm they participate with your insurance provider. Services may be provided in the hospital by AdventHealth as well as by other health care practitioners who may bill you separately. By contacting your anticipated health care practitioners ahead of time, you can get information about billing practices and an estimate for your upcoming services to help avoid any unexpected challenges and fees.
