Supervised Exercise Rehab To Get You Back to Life
After a serious event like a heart attack or cardiovascular surgery, it can be difficult for patients to trust their hearts to handle physical activity. Like any muscle, the heart needs to be exercised, especially after a traumatic event. At AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute (formerly Florida Hospital Pepin Heart Institute), heart and exercise experts at the Shimberg Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation Center are here to help you safely and efficiently get your heart pumping like normal.
Our medically supervised rehabilitation programs for cardiac, peripheral artery disease, and pulmonary diseases are led by a team of caring, compassionate experts to get you back to life.
Medically Supervised Exercise To Get Your Heart and Lungs Healthy

At your initial appointment, we will evaluate your current condition with a walking test on the treadmill. We'll also ask you questions about your goals and the level of physical activity you want to achieve. From there, our team will create a plan personalized for you. We will communicate your progress with your physician throughout your program.
All programs at the Shimberg Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation Center involve aerobic exercise training on a variety of equipment including treadmills, step machines, rowing and stationary cycles.
