Your Generous Gift Transforms Lives
At AdventHealth Avista, we work to restore health, nurture struggling families and support our communities. But we can’t do it alone. We are a not-for-profit hospital, which means that your contributions directly benefit the members of our community.
The AdventHealth Foundation supports our efforts to provide our neighbors with the care they need.
Your tax-deductible gifts to the Foundation enable us to further our mission of providing the best, faith-based health care possible. We use these donations to purchase leading-edge technologies, fund community health programs and enhance our facilities, all focusing on serving the patients who entrust us with their care.
Every gift counts, and every gift makes a difference.
Supporting Our Louisville Community
Your gift is used in multiple ways, including growing our AdventHealth Avista patient service lines, like breast care and labor and delivery.
- Expanding Women’s Health Care
-
The generosity of our donors is allowing us to create a full-service Women’s Health Center with the following services and amenities:
- Navigation Services to guide patients through treatment options, appointments and provide ongoing support
- Stereotactic biopsy to provide state-of-the-art biopsies and peace of mind
- Tomosynthesis 3D mammography to deliver the sharpest images, allowing radiologists to create a three-dimensional view of the breast, increasing early detection
- An environment designed to reduce stress and make patients more comfortable
- Genetic counseling that provides clear information about risk factors and addresses patient questions and concerns
- Donations Bring Life to Our Birth Center
-
The New Life Birth Center at AdventHealth Avista is the area’s preferred labor and delivery hospital. We deliver more than 2,000 babies yearly, more than any other hospital in Boulder and Broomfield counties. Monies raised for our birth center provide a critical source of funding. Donations support needs like training and professional development for more than 200 nurses and team members; Family Life Education for first-time and veteran expectant parents; comfort items in our private, luxury birthing suites; bereavement counseling for parents who lose an infant at birth; fetal and neonatal monitors for the most precious and fragile of lives; and financial assistance for families in need.
Volunteer Your Time to Lend a Helping Hand
Make a tangible donation by giving your time. You can make a difference as a shuttle driver, reception desk greeter or pet therapy specialist. You may also work in our gift shop or alongside our nurses on the patient units.
Volunteering at our AdventHealth Avista hospital is a perfect way to play an integral role in our philanthropic mission. You’ll meet new people, make new friends and experience firsthand the joy of helping others.
Thank you for your interest in our AdventHealth Avista therapy dog program.
Therapy dogs must be calm, obedient and not easily distracted. They must love meeting many kinds of people. They should know basic commands, walk calmly on a loose lead and be well-managed by their handlers. Dogs must be at least 2 years old. Handlers must be at least 18 years old or 16 years old and accompanied by a parent.
All volunteers must attend the orientation program, complete a background check, be tested for tuberculosis and get an annual flu shot.
If you are interested and you and your dog meet all the requirements, we have a process to qualify therapy dogs and their handlers.
