Your Healing Journey Begins Here
When you come in for care to our AdventHealth Castle Rock hospital, you can expect the best. From a multidisciplinary approach to care with a network of physicians and nurses who provide compassionate care to chaplains who pray with you when you need spiritual support — we’re about helping you feel whole in body, mind and spirit. And the fact that we’re close to home, right here in Douglas County, is just an added bonus.
Our hospital has decided not to participate in the Colorado End-of-Life Options Act, but we still provide compassionate end-of-life and palliative care to patients and families.

We understand that healing involves more than just the body. We have chaplains on staff, available day or night, to help patients and their loved ones by listening and offering spiritual guidance, prayer and support.
We also welcome you to visit our chapel on the first floor, behind the main lobby. Here, you can find a quiet space to get peace at any time.
All hospital rooms are equipped with:
- Call buttons and bed controls
- Housekeeping to keep your room clean each day
- Internet access
- Telephones
- TVs with remotes
- Free Parking
-
We want you focused on your health, not where to park. Use our lot in front of the main entrance and surrounding lots, free of charge — 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Guest Services
-
During our regular business hours, we have volunteers in the main lobby to help patients and families. So, you always know where to go and always have someone available to assist you.
- Meal Service and Food Options
-
You’ll be served meals in your room, but your guests are welcome to visit the Manna restaurant. It’s located in the main lobby and is open Monday through Friday from 10:30 am to 8 pm.
If you need something quick, our Manna Market in the main lobby is open Monday through Sunday from 7 am to 7 pm.
- What to Pack for Your Hospital Stay
-
If you’re planning a stay at our hospital, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. But when it comes to bringing personal items, we suggest that you only pack the essentials and leave valuables, including jewelry and most cash, at home.
Consider packing:
- Dentures with the case and cleaning solution
- Glasses, contact lenses, solutions and cases
- Personal hygiene items you prefer, such as shampoo or toothpaste
- Phone numbers of family and friends
- Robe and pair of non-slip slippers
- Small items that bring you comfort, such as photos, books or magazines
It’s also helpful to bring certain documents with you:
- Copy of your advance directives, such as a living will or medical durable power of attorney
- Credit card or check for any co-payment your insurance may require
- Health insurance card(s) for any policy that covers you
- List of your medications, with the dose and how often you take them
- Picture identification, such as a driver’s license or state ID card
- Prior test results, X-rays or medical records if your doctor requests them
- Worker’s compensation information, if applicable, including the billing address and claim number
- During Your Stay
-
While you’re at the hospital, you’ll meet with different people from your care team. A doctor or another designated care team member will visit you at least once each day. Your nurses also will discuss your plan of care with you and loved ones (if preferred) multiple times throughout the day. As the patient, you’re the focus. So, we encourage you to participate in the care process.
You’ll likely see specialists from different departments, such as your doctor, primary nurse, discharge planner, pharmacist and physical therapist.
We also have hospitalists available 24/7. These are doctors who specialize in caring for hospitalized patients. They are very familiar with the hospital environment and how to provide the best care. The hospitalist will work with your primary doctor and other members of your care team.
- Your Discharge From the Hospital
-
When it’s time to go home, we have case managers and social workers to help you make a smooth transition. They’ll help create the safest and most appropriate discharge plan for you and provide support.
Support for Our Community
We believe that healing extends beyond our hospital walls. So, we’re devoted to bringing education, comfort and lifesaving care to our greater Castle Rock community.
- Family-to-Family Adoption Support Program
-
Adopting a child is a life-changing experience. But it can be a difficult process to navigate. We offer services that support patients and adoptive parents, combining expert medical care with compassion and sensitivity. Our trained staff are here for you, whatever you need.
- Mental Health First Aid
-
We support caring for the whole person — body, mind and spirit. Our Mental Health First Aid program offers free, eight-hour classes, so you can learn to recognize symptoms and develop strategies to support a person with mental illness or emotional crisis.
We also offer a youth-focused class for teachers, social workers, coaches and others who work with kids and teens.
In the class, you’ll learn how to do the following:
- Assess the risk of suicide or harm
- Encourage appropriate professional help
- Encourage self-help and other support
- Give reassurance and information
- Listen without judgment
- Mommy and Me Market
-
We believe that if we want to support those most in need in our community, we need to start with mothers and children.
Our Mommy and Me Market is open one Friday a month for community shopping at no cost. We accept donations of new or gently used baby items, including diapers, wipes, size 0 to 4T clothing, maternity clothing and baby gear. (We cannot accept used cribs or car seats.)
Families can shop in the market — getting what they need at no cost to them — on the last Friday* of every month from 9 to 11 am.
For more information, call 720-709-1986.
*November and December dates may vary due to the holidays. Please see our hospital events page for dates and details.
We're Here to Make It Easy
Whether you’re looking for billing information from a visit to our emergency room or planning an appointment with a doctor in a specialty like orthopedics or imaging, we’ve made sure the tools you need are just a click away.
A hospital stay can bring visits and services from multiple medical providers. And while we know it’s hard to plan for an emergency visit, if you have a scheduled health care service that requires a hospital stay, we recommend contacting your health care practitioners within the hospital to confirm they’re part of your insurance plan. You can also get information about billing practices and an estimate for your upcoming services. This will help you avoid any unexpected fees.
