-
Our Process
Epilepsy is called “intractable” or “drug resistant” when a child has not responded to anti-seizure medications at a therapeutic level. That’s where we come in.
-
Pediatric Epilepsy Treatments
We treat the whole child – body, mind and spirit – going beyond the basics of “seizure counts” to find effective, lasting, non-surgical and surgical epilepsy treatments to greatly reduce or even eliminate seizures.
-
Seizure Monitoring Unit
Our specially designed eight-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit allows our team of pediatric epilepsy experts to observe your child in real time, using the latest digital diagnostic equipment to assess, diagnose and treat your child’s epilepsy.
-
Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic
As a nationally recognized TSC clinic, AdventHealth for Children provides comprehensive care to kids diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, a genetic disorder that can trigger seizures, developmental delay and intellectual disability.
-
Non-Surgical Brain Mapping
The most exciting advancement in neuroimaging in decades, magnetoencephalography (MEG) is a non-invasive procedure that tracks moment-to-moment brain activity allowing pediatric neurology specialists to pinpoint the areas of the brain responsible for abnormal activity.
