Self assumed leadership of the hospital on Sept. 17.
Manchester, KY: Adventist Health System has named Chris Self to the position of president/CEO for Manchester Memorial Hospital, in Manchester, Kentucky, which is part of Adventist Health Systems Southeast Region. He replaces Erika Skula, who is transitioning to a new role as president/CEO for Florida Hospital Carrollwood, which is also a member of the Adventist Health System network of care.
Chris has demonstrated incredible leadership and is deeply committed to the mission of Adventist Health System. He has made significant contributions to Manchester and is fully entrenched in the community. I am confident the transition will be seamless, and the hospital will continue to provide excellent, holistic care to the community as he assumes the CEO role, said Pete Weber, president/CEO for both Adventist Health Systems Southeast Region and Gordon Hospital.
Self, who has served Adventist Health System for fourteen years, currently serves as vice president and chief operating officer for Manchester Memorial Hospital with responsibility for the medical staff, hospitalist program, clinics, radiology, lab, dietary, foundation, physician enterprise, strategic growth and more.
His experience with Adventist Health System also includes serving as administrative director of behavioral health at Park Ridge Health, administrative director of business development at Park Ridge Health and director of strategy and business development for Florida Hospital Kissimmee.
Manchester is an amazing place, and I am so blessed to have the opportunity to continue working with our dedicated team to advance our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ to those we care for in our hospital and the community, said Self.
Self earned a masters degree in business administration from Webster University, and a bachelors degree in marketing from Southern Adventist University. He is a participant in the Adventist Health System Executive Leadership Program and board member of the Kentucky chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
