Your Mental Health, Treated With the Utmost Care
We know that it can be difficult to feel like yourself when you don't feel well mentally. Whether you live with a diagnosed condition like clinical depression or are experiencing other concerning symptoms, seeking professional care can help you better understand your needs and whether a medication treatment plan would be a good solution.
That’s where psychiatry comes in. Psychiatry is a branch of behavioral health care alongside psychology services. Our psychiatric nurse practitioners take a combined approach to your mental health care, using psychotherapy elements like talk therapy with medication management to help you manage your condition safely and effectively.
If you need immediate mental health help, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-237-8255 — or just dial 988 — for free and confidential support 24/7.
We’re here to help you find the right physician or a location that’s convenient for you.

How We Serve You in Our Psychiatry Program
- Psychological Testing
-
Psychological testing serves as a basis for your mental health care. This evaluation and your answers help us get a better picture of your mental health so that we know how to best care for you.
When you come to us for psychiatric care, you’ll meet with a therapist for a complete evaluation. Your first visit with one of our psychiatric nurse practitioners will be 40 minutes long, and we’ll discuss your needs and goals in depth so we can outline a treatment plan. After this initial visit, most patients are expected to participate in individual psychotherapy (20-minute psychiatry sessions).
- Pharmacotherapy
-
Pharmacotherapy means treating health conditions with prescribed medications. Psychiatry is founded on pharmacotherapy, and our psychiatric nurse practitioners prescribe various types of medications to help people better manage mental health conditions.
Our psychiatric nurse practitioners will work with you one-on-one to understand your specific needs, deliver an accurate diagnosis and outline a treatment regimen with the right medications for you.
The medications we prescribe differ from person to person, as everyone has unique needs. The medications to treat ADHD symptoms are different from those that are prescribed to treat anxiety symptoms, for example.
Our goal with pharmacotherapy is to help you manage your condition effectively, improving your quality of life and overall well-being so you can feel whole.
- Medication Management
-
Because medications are a key part of psychiatric care, proactive medication management is essential. We’ll only prescribe medications that are appropriate for your health needs and goals.
In each visit, we’ll evaluate how your medication regimen is working. This includes making any adjustments in dosage or prescriptions as needed so that you can continue to make progress in your therapy journey and feel well overall. Our team can advise on medication interactions, answer questions about dosages and assist you with any other medication-related concerns you might have.
- Targeted Case Management
-
We offer targeted case management when needed to help our patients increase their independence and access resources within our community, like jobs, housing, transportation, food and more.
