Answer:Most people think they will also have heartburn if they have acid reflux. But that’s not always the case. Silent reflux, or laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR), can cause unusual signs of GERD, such as a bitter taste in your mouth, hoarseness, throat-clearing, sore throat, wheezing, chronic cough and asthma.
