Where are you on the stress continuum? Given all that we have been through with this pandemic, you are likely experiencing personal reactions to varying complexities on any given day. As a health care professional, you have been dealing with the pandemic stress on both an individual and professional level, so it is normal for you to react to the abnormal experiences we have been dealing with.
When stress is ongoing or severe, it can lead to serious distress, burnout or even traumatic responses and symptoms. Living in a state of chronic "fight or flight" isn’t healthy for us. Although it’s important to remember that people react differently to the same situation, know that what you're feeling is valid, and it’s likely that many people feel and react similarly.
If you find yourself in the "struggling" or "crisis" categories, please seek support from a medical or mental health professional. Dr. Durr can be reached at Call813-803-4015 or [email protected].
