Martin Torrents DO MPH MBA is the Program Director for the Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Residency (ONMM+3) at AdventHealth East Orlando. He is dually board-certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. After graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Dr. Torrents received a combined DO/MPH degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete a family medicine residency, where he was Chief Resident, and an osteopathic manipulative medicine fellowship at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, NY.
A highly experienced clinician, Dr. Torrents was the founding Chair of the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine department at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown, NY and Clinical Associate Professor of several courses, having served these responsibilities for eight years prior to joining AdventHealth East Orlando’s residency program. He successfully completed a 200-hour Medical Acupuncture for Physicians course at State University of New York, Brooklyn campus in 2017. He holds a certificate of proficiency in Biomedical Informatics and Research as well as in Osteopathy in the Cranial Field. When treating patients, he emphasizes on the body’s capacity to self-heal and self-regulate itself, with a particular emphasis on restoring appropriate circulatory, neurologic and lymphatic circulations by addressing somatic dysfunctions. Born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay, he is fluent in English and Spanish.
