Minimally Invasive and Precision Pediatric Neurosurgery
To ensure the best possible patient outcomes, our neurosurgical team employs minimally invasive approaches and precision neurosurgery to target brain pathology and tumors. When appropriate, we use a number of state-of-the-art techniques:
• Intraoperative MRI and CT — Aids in the removal of brain
lesions, making the procedure safer and improving outcomes
• Neuro-navigation (“GPS”) — Guides the surgeon through the
use of computer-assisted technology
• Intraoperative neuromonitoring — Provides real-time
feedback regarding the function of the nerves, brain and
spinal cord
• Robotic and laser-assisted surgery — Reduces risk of brain
trauma and side effects
• Endoscopic brain surgery— Allows for faster recovery and
reduced hospital stay
