Our Research
Pharmacy Research at AdventHealth Orlando is committed to improving the lives of individuals through research into medication and disease states that affect our patients. We participate in clinical research studies as well as research intended to improve the use of medication by collecting data. This research may be done on a variety of medications in a large variety of disease states.
In addition, the Investigational Drug Service (IDS) is the part of the Pharmacy Department that handles medications being used in a clinical research study.
The IDS manages:
- Receipt and storage of investigational medications
- Dispensing of investigational medications
- Accountability of investigational medications
