Our experienced team of physicians and research nurses enrolls participants in a broad range of randomized trials and registry-based research studies. We work closely to incorporate research findings into the comprehensive care of our patients. Embedded in one of the top cardiac research centers in the nation, the Cardiovascular Research Department helps patients access innovative and promising new treatments and technologies before they become the standard of care for the general public.

About Our Facility
The Heart, Lung and Vascular Research Department, located at AdventHealth Orlando, leverages the internal resources from the Heart, Lung and Vascular Institute to facilitate the seamless operation of research projects.
The Heart, Lung and Vascular Research Department has a fully equipped onsite examination room for participant visits and non-surgical research procedures with proximity to central registration and valet parking. Restricted access cabinets enable compliant storage of investigational products and devices.
The Heart, Lung and Vascular Research Department has access to a suite of services for routine and complex laboratory draws, with expertise in sample processing, storage, analysis and shipping. Our research department is also equipped to leverage a centralized research laboratory to process more complex specimens as required by some research protocols. For additional laboratory capabilities, including advanced cellular and molecular endpoint analyses, please contact our research team.
For our research partners, we have access to a full complement of procedural, pharmacy, radiologic and surgical services to enable advanced clinical trials and studies. Please contact the research team for additional information.

Our onsite exam room has limited keyed access and is a 213-square-foot space, fully equipped for patient visits and procedures in a clinical setting. We are close to registration, front entrance and valet parking for convenience of the cardiac participants coming in for research-specific follow-ups.
- State-of-the-Art, Secure Phlebotomy Lab

Our phlebotomy lab has limited badge access and is a 137-square-foot space. Monitored by an Aeroscout system, our equipment includes:
- Heraeus Instrument Labofuge 400 ambient centrifuge
- Phillips Pagewrite Touch EKG
- Frigidaire standard fridge/freezer with a restricted key lock and an Aeroscout monitoring system
- Nine locking cabinets and eight locking drawers for investigational product storage
- State-of-the-Art, Secure Storage

Our storage room (devices, drugs, supplies and equipment) also has limited badge access. This 132-square-foot room, monitored by an Aeroscout system, is located on the second floor of the Ginsburg Tower for proximity to cardiology invasive labs and cardiac and vascular surgery.
