Office of Research Integrity and Compliance

The Office of Research Integrity and Compliance(ORIC) helps ensure that AdventHealth Orlando researchers and staff maintain compliance with the numerous regulatory requirements governing research. ORIC collaborates within the many different research offices, as well as interdepartmentally across the institution to foster communication and alignment of policies and procedures to work towards building a more integrated and robust research compliance program. The ORIC includes the AH Institutional Review Board who oversees the ethical conduct of research and ensures the protection of human subjects participating in research. The ORIC administers the AdventHealth conflict of interest review process for research, works closely with the Research Oversight Committee (ROC), ensures compliant research billing practices, addresses allegations of research misconduct, offers investigators IND/IDE support, conducts auditing and monitoring activities, provides education and training specific to research compliance, and serves as a resource to the AdventHealth Research Institute.
