For more than 10 years, our organization's research pursuits have expanded to form the AdventHealth Research Institute and have transformed our organization into a learning health care system. Envisioned and led by Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of AdventHealth, Steven R. Smith, MD, the AdventHealth Translational Research Institute continues to uncover knowledge about the obesity epidemic, diabetes prevention, the importance of physical activity for our whole health, and so much more.
