Biography

Dr. Aniq Shaikh specializes in treating digestive diseases and disorders that affect the stomach, colon, intestines, liver, esophagus and pancreas, and has provided gastroenterological care as a staff physician at AdventHealth East Orlando and at Gastroenterology Consultants of Central Florida for more than ten years. Dr. Shaikh earned his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago and fellowship trained in digestive diseases and hepatology at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.

Since 1995, Dr. Shaikh has provided care at a number of reputable hospitals in Chicago, serving as an ER and staff physician, before relocating to Central Florida in 2002. Additionally, he has been appointed to serve in prominent positions for several professional committees, including his current appointment as Chairman of the Medicine Section at AdventHealth East Orlando, and has published multiple research studies focused on gastroenterology issues. He also speaks Sindhi.
