Biography

Dr. Garg is a board-certified vascular and interventional neurologist who specializes in providing advanced care for patients with a wide range of cerebrovascular disorders in both hospital and outpatient settings. He manages the care of critically ill patients who have suffered brain hemorrhages, complex strokes and other serious neurological disorders, and he is proficient in life-saving and neurointerventional procedures such as mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke and endovascular treatment of ruptured and unruptured brain aneurysms and other causes of brain hemorrhage.
Dr. Ankur is the 2020-2022 president-elect of the American Heart Association Orlando Board and he currently serves as an assistant professor at the University of Central Florida. He earned his medical degree at the elite University of Mumbai in India and undertook his neurology residency as well as consecutive fellowships in vascular neurology and endovascular surgical neuroradiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
