James S. Atkins Jr., MD, is board-certified in neurotology and otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat), with specialized training in disorders of the inner ear. A Florida native, he received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine where he went on to complete a residency in otolaryngology. He followed this with a fellowship in neurotology at Otologic Medical Group. Dr. Atkins is nationally recognized as one of the top otologists in Central Florida. He served for more than six years as staff otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeon in the US Air Force on Lackland Air Force Base, and is a former Medical Director of the AdventHealth Vestibular Center.
