Lina Hernandez, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric gastroenterologist who specializes in treating complex digestive and nutritional disorders in children. She is a bilingual provider with proficiency in English and Spanish, and the founding physician of AdventHealth Medical Group's pediatric gastroenterology practice located next to AdventHealth Orlando. An expert diagnostician and clinician, she is known for her proficiency in upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, PEG tube placement, polypectomy, variceal banding and management of inflammatory bowel disease and other chronic digestive issues in kids. Dr. Hernandez is a native of Ibague, Colombia, and earned her medical degree at that country's Universidad de Antioquia prior to relocating to Florida for her internship, residency and advanced fellowship training in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine.
