Matthew Henderson, DO, is a board-certified pediatrician with advanced fellowship training in pediatric hematology and oncology. He joined AdventHealth Medical Group in Central Florida from Ohio, where he completed his fellowship at the Akron Children’s Hospital and served as a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Northeastern Ohio Medical University in Rootstown. Before that, he was an honors graduate of Stetson University and earned his medical degree at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City. He completed his general pediatrics residency at Maimonides Infants and Children’s Hospital in Brooklyn. Dr. Henderson enjoys working with adolescent and young adult patients to address their oncologic needs, and he has a special research interest in solid tumors. He is fluent in English with basic language skills in Spanish.
