Dr. Wilson is a fellowship trained, non-operative sports medicine physician. She specializes in non-surgical treatments to address a variety of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Her clinical interests include injury prevention and youth athletics, especially volleyball and gymnastics. She is trained in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound to diagnose orthopaedic conditions and to aid with proper needle placement during injection therapies such as corticosteroid, hyaluronic acid, and platelet-rich plasma.
Dr. Wilson obtained her medical degree from Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and followed with a residency in Family Medicine with a concentration in Sports Medicine at Halifax Family Medicine in Daytona Beach, FL. Subsequently, she completed her fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.
Dr. Wilson cares for all athletes and previously served as team physician for a number of teams including East Carolina University and a Texas Rangers minor league baseball team as well as local high schools. She also has provided coverage for numerous sporting events such as the Little League Softball World Series, NCAA baseball tournament, and American Athletic Conference Championships. In addition to her commitment to medicine, Dr. Wilson volunteers as a “Wish Granter” for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
