Dr. Vivek Nagar is an interventional pain management physician. After graduating from the University of Miami, Dr. Nagar received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in Physical Medicine &Rehabilitation and fellowship in Pain Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center in New York. While in training, he was selected by his peers and faculty for the prestigious position of Chief Resident. He then went on to serve as Chief Fellow during his time in fellowship. He has authored textbook chapters in the field of pain medicine and physiatry, and has published peer-reviewed research on interventional pain management
Dr. Nagar’s goal is to create personalized treatment plans for his patients, with an emphasis on improving functional outcomes and quality of life.
Dr. Nagar provides comprehensive care for a wide variety of painful conditions of the spine, nerves, joints and muscles by integrating non-surgical and non-opioid pain-relieving treatments. Dr. Nagar uses precise image guidance to perform various minimally invasive treatments including spine injections and procedures, peripheral nerve blocks, and joint injections. He specializes in neuromodulation, including spinal cord stimulation and dorsal root ganglion stimulation.
Dr. Nagar is fluent in English and Spanish. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering, biking, and playing basketball.
