Meet Our Mom: Jennifer T

Jennifer T and her family

The following is a first-person account of a real family's labor and delivery experience at AdventHealth for Women.

After many years of trying – with no success – to start a family, my husband and I decided to meet with an amazing doctor to consider our options. Considering our tribulations of conceiving, we were informed that In Vitro Fertilization was our only chance to start our family. Following many prayers and discussions, we decided to start our IVF journey. Unfortunately, our first round of IVF ended in two early losses. Despite the pain and loss, we decided to try one last round of IVF. In that round, we only had one viable embryo. We transferred our embryo on February 28th, 2019 and received prenatal care at AdventHealth Medical Group OB/GYN at Lake Mary. 7 months later our son was born at 31 weeks at AdventHealth for Women. Our little miracle stayed in the NICU for 26 days.

Today, James is 6 months old and absolutely healthy and perfect! We are extremely blessed and grateful for our family. The journey wasn’t easy, but in the end all the tears and injections were worth it! My advice for others is not to give up and turn to God because with Him all things are possible.
