Scheduling your tour and planning for your delivery day has never been easier. Our Birth Experience Team acts as your personal guide to give you the confidence and knowledge to embark on this new phase of life. The Birth Experience Coordinators are registered nurses and certified parent educators at each of our Baby Place locations that can answer any labor and delivery or parent education questions to help put new parents at ease. When it comes time for your baby’s birth day, we take a personalized approach to care. To support the labor and delivery experience you want, our locations offer:
- Mobile fetal monitoring, which allows you to move around during labor and potentially speeds up your time to delivery*
- Birthing aids, such as squat bars, peanut balls, mirrors, walk-in showers and jetted labor tubs*
- Designated C-section surgical suites in case of emergency
- 24/7 on-site OB/GYN hospitalists and anesthesia care*
- Access to our Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at AdventHealth for Children as well as Level II NICUs on-site at Altamonte Springs, Celebration, Daytona Beach and Winter Park

If your pregnancy is deemed high-risk, our experienced high-risk pregnancy specialists are always prepared to help you. Our comprehensive maternal-fetal medicine program is designed to support your pregnancy day by day, week by week, guided by your Care Coordinator and customized care plan.
Your pregnancy may be high-risk if you:- Are older than 35
- Have learned you’re having twins (or triplets)
- Have pre-existing health conditions
- Were high-risk in past pregnancies
- Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs)

If your little one should need extra attention, rest easy knowing there’s an incredible team of pediatric specialists dedicated to them. Our neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) combine state-of-the-art technology, soothing baby-friendly environments and a comprehensive range of specialty services to provide the highest level of care to our tiniest patients. The Level II and Level IV NICUs at AdventHealth for Children know what special care is required for babies born prematurely or experiencing complications.
We offer the largest NICU network in Central Florida with multiple locations — just in case you need it. Level II NICUs are available at Altamonte Springs, Celebration, Daytona Beach and Winter Park. Our Level IV NICU at Orlando is ranked among the best children's hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.

Once your baby’s here, our team will do everything we can to help you become more confident as you embark on the journey of parenthood, including offering:
- Baby Bunch: A weekly gathering designed for moms of young babies, from newborn to 12 months old, with helpful discussions on feeding options, infant development, and maternal health.
- Lactation consultations: Our lactation team is available to provide additional breastfeeding support over the phone or with individual consultations.
- Women's health navigation: Our women's health navigators are specially trained, registered nurses whose job is to make life easier for each patient through expert clinical assistance and educational, emotional and spiritual support.
We know that adjusting to life as a mother can be challenging, and you're not alone. If you’re not feeling quite like yourself, ask for help, always. A health emergency during pregnancy requires a special level of care. That’s why we have an Obstetric Emergency Department (OBED) equipped to treat expectant moms and their babies. The OBED is located at AdventHealth for Women – Orlando and is staffed with experienced OB hospitalists who specialize in obstetric medicine.
The OBED treats pregnancy- and postpartum-related concerns like abdominal pain, preterm labor, preeclampsia, abnormal vaginal bleeding, ruptured membranes, labor checks, bladder infections, decreased fetal movement and increased blood pressure. It offers pregnant women immediate access to a provider at all hours. We hope you and your baby never need emergency care, but have peace of mind knowing we’re ready around the clock.
