The Center for Nursing Research conducts, assesses and disseminates research that impacts the well-being and recovery of the health care workforce. Our team includes professionals in nursing, mental health and clinical research who undertake studies and design programs that reflect the professional and personal needs of health care staff as they provide care to our patients.
In addition to conducting research, quality improvement, program evaluation and other scholarly projects, our team offers guidance to AdventHealth nurses who are interested in conducting their own research projects to advance patient care, safety and nursing as a profession.

The Center for Nursing Research has conducted program improvement projects and research studies to improve workforce mental health and well-being, specifically among nurses. Previous efforts include the Clinical Leader Series, a virtual mental well-being initiative developed for nurse leaders to provide education about mental health and teach self-care skills during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Center for Nursing Research offers mentorship and guidance to nurse researchers — from novices to experts — through the process of conducting research at AdventHealth.
Our skilled team of nurse scientists, researchers, biostatisticians and coordinators can advise regarding study design and analysis, logistics, approvals and dissemination of nurse-conducted research at AdventHealth. Through consultations, courses and online resources, we provide an array of research support to nurses throughout the organization.
