Pediatric Research Overview
At the Center for Pediatric Research, we create the future of pediatric health care through research and data analysis to improve clinical performance and quality of care. We seek to increase AdventHealth for Children’s ability to become a leading children’s care network while Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ.
With more than 135 skilled pediatric specialists, AdventHealth for Children covers more than 35 pediatric subspecialties and provides consultation services to the unit. Our comprehensive subspecialty care includes the Johns Hopkins Children's Heart Surgery Program, a Level IV Comprehensive Pediatric Epilepsy Center and a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)—the highest NICU level available.
Our Cancer and Blood Disorder specialty includes a Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Program. We also have a Pediatric Liver Transplant Program and a Complex Care Clinic for patients with complex diagnoses. Interdisciplinary rounds are provided every day to each patient. Our Cancer and Blood Disorder specialty includes a Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Program.

At AdventHealth for Children, our NICU care encompasses:
- A Level IV NICU, the highest level available
- 82 licensed beds in our women’s hospital
- 20 beds in our children’s hospital
- Two neonatal transport teams
- 12 neonatologists and a dedicated interdisciplinary team (pharmacists, nutritionists, clinical social workers, nurse discharge coordinators, speech therapists, occupational/physical therapists, lactation consultants and child life specialists)
