Conservative Fluid Management in the First Week of Life Reduces the Risk of Prolonged Hemodynamically Significant Patent Ductus Arteriosus in Extremely Preterm Infants

To retrospectively collect and analyze the data to show that a change in practice at the Advent Health Orlando Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), implementing conservative fluid intake during the first week of life will reduce the duration of hemodynamically significant patent ductus arteriosus (HsPDA) in extremely preterm infants. To assess safety of conservative fluid management by examining serum Na level and urine output. Safety is assured by not having hypernatremia.
