Mrs. Jackson has over 30 years of research experience with expertise in teaching and compliance. She is a registered nurse and worked in critical care prior to entering clinical research in 1994, as a research coordinator. In 1998 she launched a research department with a cardiology practice and later established a stand-alone research clinic with a family medicine physician. Mrs. Jackson entered research compliance in 2010 conducting auditing and monitoring of research protocols and teaching research related classes. In 2017, she earned a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law from Loyola Law School of Chicago. Her current role as Director, Research Integrity & Compliance at AdventHealth includes oversight of the human subjects’ research protection program, AAHRPP accredited IRB, centralized research regulatory team, centralized research billing review team, research internal auditing and monitoring, research financial conflicts of interest, protocol review and monitoring system, and research training and education.
Mrs. Jackson chaired a committee with the responsibility of making implementation and workflow decisions for research billing, privacy and confidentiality processes in Epic in preparation for AdventHealth’ s transition to Epic in July 2022. Mrs. Jackson has had the pleasure of presenting at several national research professional conferences including, the Research Billing Compliance Summit, Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) Global Conference & Exhibition, HCCA’s Research Compliance Conference, and participated in a panel discussion for a Coffee Talk hosted by the Society of Research Administrators International. Additionally, she served on the Annual Meeting Program Committee for the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Forum on Conflict of Interest in Academe (FOCI) 2019 Spring conference.
