The purpose of this research study is to show whether an investigational device, called the Laguna™ Thrombectomy System, is safe and effective for the treatment of pulmonary embolism. The Laguna™ Thrombectomy System consist of the Laguna™ Clot Retriever System and the Malibu™ Aspiration Catheter System. It is hoped that the combined use of these two systems will remove blood clots that contribute to a pulmonary embolism. This is an experimental procedure and experimental therapy. This means that the study device has not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). People volunteering to participate in this study will be the first people treated with this device in the United States. The device is made by Innova Vascular, Inc.
